FAQs
Skip Sizes – Which Size Do You Need?
Choosing the right skip depends on how much waste you have and the space
available for delivery.
Generally, the larger the skip, the better value it is per cubic yard/metre of
waste removed.
We offer three skip sizes:
2 yard
3 yard
4 yard
Not sure which size you need? We’re always happy to advise.
What Happens to Your Waste?
Once collected, your skip is taken to a licensed waste transfer facility.
Clear and Go Skips Ltd is a fully approved waste carrier, meaning we handle,
transport, and dispose of waste responsibly and in accordance with environmental
regulations.
At the transfer station, waste is sorted and recycled wherever possible.
Up to 90% of all waste is recycled, helping to reduce landfill and support a
greener future.
Where Can the Skip Be Placed?
Skips must be positioned on private land only — we cannot place skips on
public roads, pavements, or council-owned spaces.
If you’re concerned about potential ground damage, please ensure boards or
protective coverings are laid before delivery.
Once delivered, the skip must not be moved. If moved and inaccessible for
collection, additional charges may apply.
Hire Period
The standard hire period is up to 8 days, including the day of delivery.
Finished earlier? Contact us and we’ll arrange prompt collection.
What are your access requirements
Level Loads Only
For safety and legal reasons, skips must be filled no higher than the top edge.
Overfilled skips may be refused for collection and additional charges will
apply.
This is to prevent unsafe transport caused by excess weight or unsecured
materials.
